Peter's been in Striders for quite a few years. And he's served the club on the board in most of the roles. So a good guy to take the leadership role and motivate the others to do the work! Peter's been very busy traveling at work for the last 3 years, however he often turns up on Saturday mornings to run after a flight from Singapore or the East Coast. True commitment. We wish Peter every success in his role as President. |

Peggy has been a long-time Striders member, some 20+ years now. Pretty cool club to have hung around for that long! She has enjoyed and appreciated the social activities and many friends made over the years, the training partners and great runs, serving on the Board in different capacities, and belonging to a fun community of people who share like interests in fitness, health and general goofing off! She enjoys doing the "long stuff" now....ultra running on the many beautiful trails through- out the Bay Area. She has her sights on completing the Western States 100 Endurance Run again in the future, hoping to better her time from 2007. With supportive trail mates like found in the Striders, this challenge will be a pleasure.....well, it will be easier! She can usually be found running around town chasing her teenage son, a different kind of workout all together!" :-) |

Lina fell in love with running shortly after receiving a pair of running shoes for her birthday from her then boyfriend, now husband, Bruce.
That was over a decade and many trail runs ago. She has been acquainted with many of the striders through ultra training runs that used to be organized by Doug W., and then Brian R. She enjoys helping Charles S. organize some of the ultra training runs, and is happy to be able to serve the board! |

Michael has been a member of the Striders for several years and a previous Webmaster. This year he's continuing to serve the club as Treasurer. |

Gregg is a comparatively new Strider and has enthusiastically taken up the challenge of writing the Newsletter. We're delighted to welcome Gregg to the board. |

Eugene has been a member of the Striders for several years. He's served on the board as Secretary and this year will take care of the Secretarial Duties. |

Mike Shields Webmaster Top of page |
Mike has been a Striders member for many years and has served on the
Board for many of those in many positions. He is now taking up the
reins of the website.
As our bylaws limit the number on the Board to seven, Mike is not able to vote on business decisions. |
