You may use this form to nominate yourself or another Strider to join the Board of Stevens Creek Striders. This form sends an email to the President of Stevens Creek Striders. You may also nominate at club on Saturday or by post (to the PO Box) using this form: nomination.pdf
Elections
The club's ByLaws click here lay out the rules which govern the board.
Nominations close on May 1, 2007. In the unlikely event of an election, you will be able to vote online, at club or by mail during the first 2 weeks of May. The new board will be announced at the Spring Picnic on May 19, 2007.
Before you nominate a Strider
Please be sure to ask somebody's permission before nominating them for the board. And the final allocation of jobs on the board will be decided at the first board meeting. So your nomination of a job is really a suggestion.
Appeal for new Board Members
The club would like to see new members join the board. New blood brings fresh ideas. And changing the board membership ensures that serving doesn't become a chore for the current board members.
Board Meetings
There are normally 7 Board Members and the meetings are very pleasant and convivial. We usually meet in one of our homes and have a pot luck dinner before dealing with business. Both dinner and business last about 1 hour each. So the meeting's from 7 until 9.
