Thursday Nov 23 - Sunday Nov 26
Here's the idea. We're going to do the Turkey Relays at DeAnza College on Thursday Morning, then head off for the Mountains. We're going to stay at the Yosemite Bug - about 10 miles north-east of Mariposa (and about 30 miles for Yosemite itself). We'll do some running on Friday and Saturday. On Thursday we'll have a splendid:
Thanksgiving Dinner (Thursday of course) click here for menu.
Second Best Bibs and Tuckers, turkey outfits, or whatever you wear for Thanksgiving. Robin might bring one of his kilts.
We'll decide exactly where we're going to run or walk once we're there and see who's with us. And of course the weather will influence our plans.
It won't all be hard trail runs, we'll split depending on who's with us. So they'll be an easy walk for sure, and a hard run. And probably a harder walk for folks wanting to see more of Yosemite in Early Winter. Choose and join the group with the plan you like. There'll probably be between 10 and 20 of us. And of course you don't have to come for all three nights.
We're not going to get involved in providing transport or accomodation for members. However anybody who'd like to join us is welcome. Yosemite Bug Hostel offers all sorts of accomodations from private rooms to tent cabins and that all meals are available from the friendly and reasonably priced "bug - cafe" - good wholesome home cooked fare.
All you have to do is book your choice of accomodation, arrange your transport and meet us up there. We can discuss and plan hikes and runs together up there if it suits. Yosemite and the bug itself is really lovely in the fall - cold and very pretty.
