October 30th: Trail Maintenance.
A grateful 'Thank You' to all who turned up for our trail maintenance endeavor.

We had a good turn out of Striders at Stevens Creek County Park to
perform trail maintenance. Chaz, our knowledgeable and enthusiastic
maintenance worker, supervised our activities and we weeded, trimmed,
and groomed the trails into and around the picnic area we usually use as
well as the picnic area itself. We
rooted out the poison oak and made trails in much better shape as a
result of our efforts. A grateful thank you for all those who showed up, and especially to our Strider vice president, John McKiernan for his efforts to organize the event. and willingness to play phone-tag with Santa Clara County park supervisors. |
